Novemeber 7 -- Marching band FBA assessment.  This is for high schools to be graded on their marching performance the have worked on all football season.  Nice way to spend the day.  Lots of bands to see.  Click on link for more info and a schedule.  It does cost to get in--I THINK about $10 each??

November 9 -- MONDAY!  LAST day for tree orders!  Turn in by noon!!

November 9-20 -- Ritter's Cake Card kick-off.  If you would like to purchase a cake card for $10 or $25 (no expiration) the band will be selling them in front of the school every morning through Nov. 20th. or you can send in money to the band box and we will get you your card.

November 12 -- NEIGHBOR'S NIGHT! Come to Neighbor's Ice Cream and support the band!  Thursday, 5-9 pm!  On the corner of Spruce Creek Road and Central Park Blvd.

This week we have CHEESECAKE DELIVERY ON WEDNESDAY, Nov.4th, from 2:30-6:00. 
If you ordered cheesecake please plan to pick it up promptly from the band room as it will arrive frozen.  Don't forget to contact the people you sold it to and let them know you will be dropping off their order Wednesday unless you have a place at home to store it.  Questions?  Amyjlf@aol.com

This FRIDAY, Nov. 6, is the CHRISTMAS TREE SALE DEADLINE.  Make sure you are asking everyone!  There are people calling the school wanting to buy their tree!  People are coming up to me at events and wanting to buy their tree!  These trees are extremely nice and well worth the price.  PLUS they help the band.  Thanks for taking the time to sell these for the band.

SMENCILS!!!!  We have ordered Smencils -- pencils that smell!  Orange, root beer, chocolate, etc.  They will be for sale in the school store sometime this week.  They are $1.00 each.  Stop by the school store before school and get some!  Tell your friends!  These will go fast!

ALL-STATE RESULTS will be in "sometime in November" which includes 30 days so keep your fingers crossed!  If your child tried out last September to play in the All-State Middle School Band they should know if they made it soon!

Cheesecake Fundraiser Pick-up will be Wednesday, Novemebr 4th from 2:30 pm until 6 pm in the band room.  We will also have some random extra items available for purchase at that time.  Pick up is ONE day only as we have no place to store items.  Thank you!

Friday, October 30, is Middle School Night.  All of Band 3 and 8th graders in Band 2 will be performing with Spruce Creek High School's band at the football game in New Smyrna Beach.  Game starts at 7:00 pm.  Get there early (6:00 pm) because it will be crowded.  Tickets are $6 at the gate.  For more info email Amy at amyjlf@aol.com.
